The small and relatively isolated village of Kapessovo where you can relax with calming walks along the various stone paved paths. All of the paths will lead you to its main square for shopping local delicacies at the store “Sterna” (for info call 6977 202817). Mushrooms, honey, herbs, tea, pastry, all sorts of pasta and much much more...This is where the old water tank from 1848 is located and the place to be for a hot beverage, coffee and delicious desserts for your break.

The miraculous lake of Drakolimni at 2050 meters altitude. For your way uphill take with you a lot of courage, some raisins, a little bottle of brandy to keep you warm and certainly your woolen scarf and gloves. It will take you about 4 ½ hours to reach it having started from Mikro Papigo village at 980 meters altitude. But you will thoroughly enjoy the route passing by the mountaineering shelter, numerous springs and sheepfolds.

Making your way to Missios Bridge is yet another interesting mounting route which you can take. You will drive it half way between Vitsa and Koukouli and then take the walking path to Missios Bridge for about 25 minutes.

An interesting view of the Vikos gorge from the area of Oxia to which you will drive towards through the village of Monodendri. Vikos gorge is one of the steepest and deepest in the world counting 900 meters and, fairly and squarely, deserving a place in the Guinness book of records.

For a bit of excitement, do not omit a visit to the Monastery of Agia Paraskevi. The path which leads to the monastery is parallel to the gorge so take careful steps and enjoy this sweet feeling of danger while your adrenaline levels reach their pick.

Vradeto village is worth the visit since its main square is found at 1340 meters altitude, making it the highest village in the area of Zagori. The easy way there is to drive it through Kapessovo village... Alternatively and if you want to make this route a sort of a workout, walk it there through the Vradeto stairway -the oldest and sole way for its inhabitants to join the rest of the world before the construction of the road in 1973!- The stone paved path has a total altitude difference of 250 meters from your starting point and counts 1.200 stairs...It should take you about 1 hour to conclude your workout.
