A trip to Mykonos cannot be complete if you don’t spend at least one of your evenings strolling up and down the stone-paved alleys of Matoyiania. Τhe narrow and picturesque labyrinth of Chora is the place where vips and non-vips all share the same thing: a fantastic scenery. Discover the small bars of the area and the countless designer clothes and jewelery boutiques.
While on the island, you must try and taste as many of the local delicacies as possible. Search for the ‘kopanisti” soft cheese with the strong, peppery flavor in combination with the Mostra myconian crisp-bread. The island is also famous for its meat cold-cuts and for the traditionally made sausages containing fresh herbs, spices, salt, pepper and oregano that you will indulge in accompanying them with a glass of local red wine.
Don’t omit visiting the cute Cafe Suisse in Chora at close proximity to the Μatoyiania stone-paved alleys. Its multicolored chairs, its playful décor and its very friendly service, combine to create a very pleasant atmosphere in which you will happily indulge in a variety of coffees, deserts and fresh salads all day long.
