Events and bazaars for a pleasant summer in the city
Summer is officially here but the schools have not closed yet for the summer holidays, meaning that all of us are looking for special occasions to spend a good time, just before leaving the capital for our summer holiday. The good news is that there are plenty of events of social character organized at various neighborhoods ofAthens. Music concerts, open discussions, bazaars, events for animal lovers, sports meetings and recreational or educational activities for the whole family. The area of Gazi at the center ofAthens and Technopolis in particular, are two of the hot-spots for such type of events.
This weekend (8-9 June), we visit the particular event presented by the National Union of Workers and held at the Centers for Creative Activities for Children (PA.SE.K.D.A.P) in collaboration with theCentral Union of Greek Municipalities (Κ.Ε.D.Ε.). The abovementioned unions will be hosting a 2-day cultural, creative, artistic and sport multi-event for children aged between 5 and 12 years old at the Technopolis, thus giving children the opportunity to spend an interesting weekend while still in the city. The event clearly has a social character and wishes to pass the message of the importance of fundraising by the State for this kind of events that involve and support the family and gain a continuance on an annual basis.
The Athenian Riviera constitutes a paradise in the city of Athens and offers families the opportunity to escape from their routine and spend a weekend close to home, just before the summer vacations.
