A new museum opens in Athens
The Municipality of Athens announced the opening of the first Industrial Gas Museum, which will take place on the 27th of January.
The City of Athens Technopolis now acquires a dual dimension apart from being a multipurpose cultural space and events venue. Technopolis will now also be hosting the first Industrial Museum which will exhibit technological equipment, specimens from the old gasworks of Athens and authentic power engines. Additionally, it will portray the history of industrial heritage in the area.
The Industrial Gas Museum of Athens will be open daily between 10:00 and 18:00 and the entrance fee is set at only 1 euro. It is located at Peiraios Avenue and at walking distance from Metro Station “Kerameikos” (line 3).
