Down town Athens…by night

Down town Athens…by night

It has been a few years now that Athens city center has lost its appeal…has lost its “oomph”. This has begun to change lately. People begin to go out again in the evenings and new bars open again. The more the summer approaches, the more people seem willing to visit Athenscity center for their drink, their coffee or a dinner. Walking downwards from Syntagma square towards the area of Monastiraki, we come across Aghias Eirinis square. A very pleasant corner that is well “concealed” and which constitutes one of the capital’s hot spots. Numerous cafes and bars appear all around the square and tables and chairs cover almost the whole square. Interesting cocktail menus, a hip-dressed crowd, people of all ages and attitudes, lawyers, writers, models and a whole lot more. Troubi, Tailor Made, Rooster (one of the most known gay bars in Athens), “Kapaki” and a plethora of others, on the square and at the side-roads. Select the one that suits you best. It is better to visit the area for a late drink if you want to see it as lively as it can get. Very good music selections ranging from funk to soul and from ethnic to rock will certainly satisfy you and you will want to visit the trendy square again!

For your accommodation in Athens, select The Margi in the summery southern suburb of Vouliagmeni. Enjoy a marvelous stay in the Athenian Riviera and visit Athens city center by night in order to discover its intense night life.
