Cultural opening in Andros

The events concerning the visual arts never stop on the island of culture and art, Andros, which has boasted a huge cultural heritage through the passing of time. For yet another year, the Petros and Marika Kydonefs Foundation, hosts the art institution "PLOES" with the theme entitled “In medias res / On the way to Ithaca”.

The inauguration of this unique exhibition will take place tomorrow, Saturday the 27th of July at 8:30 at the Petros and Marika Kydonefs Foundation which is located in the main town of Andros island. Visit the exhibition and admire the amazing artistic creations in a unique venue and introduce yourself to the magic of art and culture.

The exhibiting contemporary artists, are (in alphabetical order): Vassilis Avramidis, Ioulia Ventikou, Vicky Georgiopoulou, Maria Gianakaki, Alexandra Isakidi, Tina Karaghiorghi, Ioanna Kafida, Elias Kafouros, Nikos Lagos, Aphrodite Liti, Antonis Michaelides, Vally Nomidou, Thanassis Panayiotou, Nikos Papadopoulos, Konstantinos Papamichalopoulos, Lydia Statiri, Giorgos Tserionis, Konstantinos Fazos, Giorgos Feretos, Manolis Haros.

The whole concept, the selection of the exhibited pieces of art, the texts, the setting up and organization of the exhibition plus the creation of the catalogue are all based on the precious work of Mrs. Athina Shina.

The exhibition is going to be running from the 27th of July (inauguration) and up until September 29th and entrance is free for everyone. It will be open daily except from Tuesday and between 10:00 to 13:30 and 18:30 to 21:30.
