Moments of extreme joy: Rafting at Voidomatis river

The region of Epirus in the north of Greece constitutes an eternal source of inspiration as it combines moments of extreme joy within nature, in tie to its glorious ambience of absolute relaxation and total tranquillity.

Year after year, rafting acquires an ever growing fanatic crowd in Greece.

If you are lovers of the water sports during the winter months and find the nature of the region of Epirus irresistibly appealing, then all you have to do is experience rafting which will provide you with notoriously authentic, alternating images of Greek nature.

Select among the fascinating routes courtesy of Alpine Zone, adjusting your fun and exterme experience to the particular level of difficulty that suits you best i.e for beginners or for the more advanced.

This weekend we take you rafting at Voidomatis river! Our route is one of the best available in the region and takes us right through the National Forest of Vikos  – Aoos along the perimeter of Papigo village and the village complex of Zagorohoria at large. We then continue with crossing the gorge of river Arahthos with its numerous famous bridges. Our ending point is Tzoumerka village.

Voidomatis river constitutes the cleanest river in Europe with gargling cold waters. Rafting down its course should take about 1 ½ hours.

Alpine Zone will equip you with everything you need to have and will arrange for your transportation to the starting point by the river.
