Crete island for a Guinness world record!!!

Crete island for a Guinness world record!!!

The island of Crete is known for its folklore dances and while visiting the island it is certainly a splendid idea to engage to some fun local dancing. The Cultural non Profit Organisation “Planet Crete” aims at creating a chain of people dancing one of the most famous traditional Cretan dances called the “pendozali” starting from one side of the island and the area of Chania to the other side and the area of Sitia.

The event is titled Crete dancing pendozali from one side to the otherand is scheduled for Wednesday the 7th of August. It will be held along the right side of the North axis Autoroute, spreading from Kissamo to Rethymno, Heraklion and Sitia. The event is open to anyone who would like to participate in dancing the “pendozali’ by creating a very long human chain.

Visitors and tourists are also very welcome in order to achieve the initial aim of winning a Guinness world record and making the Cretan dance known in a world scale.

On the 7th of August we join the superb Cretan dance…
