“AGORA’’: 4th Athens Biennale 2013

“AGORA’’: 4th Athens Biennale 2013

Within the building of 10 Sofokleous street - where the Athens Stock Exchange used to be located - hosted the 4th Athens Biennale for this year. Up until the 1st of December 2013, this ''sacred'' venue is going to be transformed into an Agora - meaning a vibrant market - where people can exchange views and ideas, attend various artistic projects and a lot more.

The building has been left completely empty since 2007 and, more specifically, only at the ground floor where once the bond trading was held there are now a plethora of events held, such as workshops, concerts, round table discussions and conferences with Greek and foreign speakers about financial issues.

More than 70 artists from both Greece and abroad with more than 100 works of contemporary art, will be meeting both in reality but also in digital ways. Main question to be answered…''And now what?''
