The conference Hospitality.Next: Check-in To the Future which was organised by Boussias Communications and Hotel & Restaurant magazine was honoured by the presence of the tourism industry. The nine international speakers and the 22 top executives of the field arrived to the abovementioned central conclusion on Thursday the 5th of December at Athenaum Intercontinental hotel.

Branding, social media, sustainability and innovation.

The Global Marketing Director of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Tim Davis, supported the fact that a hotel should aim at its long-term differentiation, not money-wise but value-wise to the benefit of its customers. He also pointed out that a hotel should always listen to what its customers have to say in order to re-shape and evolve the brand around their needs and desires. 

Nico Schlapps, the architect who won the first prize at the Radical Innovations in Hospitality 2013 competition, presented an architectural proposal which effectively addresses the global economic crisis as an opportunity to create an innovative and profitable tourism business. He explained of how the flexible infrastructure of the Manhattan Pop-Up Hotel can be temporarily converted into a modern hotel when spaces witihn the building remain unrented as offices. 

The conference was held under the auspices of the Greek Tourism Organisation (EOT) and the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE), alongside the honorary support of the Athens Development and Destination Management Agency, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the Hellenic Yacht Brokers Association (HYBA).
