Travel Photography of the Year | Special mention of Greek photographer

It is not the first time that the renowned Greek photographer and basketball manager, Nicolas Lotsos, wins an award at an international photography competition. In 2011 he was awarded with the bronze award at the international competition PX3 2011, he also won one silver and three bronze awards at the international LOUPE 2011 in Paris plus he was voted as the photographer of the year at the international black and white photo contest SPIDER AWARDS 2012 in the category “Wildlife”. In addition, he won the first prize in the PX3 2012 Photo Competition held in Paris with a series of photographs in the category “Nature/Trees”.
Nicolas Lotsos started off as a landscape and wildlife photographer manifesting a particular liking for the African continent. As part of his trips to Africa he captured the everyday life in the slums of Africa and helped one of the schools immensely, so that more children can receive an education.
At the contest Travel Photography of the Year 2013, Timothy Allen who was born in 1971 in the United Kingdom received the Best Photographer award for a series of photographs from Mali, Bhutan and Wales. In the category Young Travel Photographer of the Year 2013, the 14 year old Jonathan Rystrøm from Denmark won the first prize for a truly remarkable series of photographs.
