Μount Mainalo
The rich fir forest of mount Mainalo is at a very short distance from Vitina and you will love it for its beautiful nature and for the refreshing walks that you can take there. This is where the ski resort of the area is located and which is actually about to open for the winter season. Kernitsa Monastery
This historic monastery is located in Nimfassia village and was built back in 1105. During the Turkish occupation it constituted a national and religious shelter. It now operates as a women’s monastery.
Folklore Museum of Vitina
Really worthy of your visit for its variety of exhibited objects which portray the historical and cultural wealth of the area. You will easily find it, since it is located at the central square of Vitina village.
Libovissi village
This is the birth place of one of the greatest Greek families in history and where Kolokotronis – the chief of the Greek revolution of 1821 – comes from. His home now operates as a museum and if you are in the area do not omit a visit.
