The area of Nimfasia just 1 km away from Vitina.

At 20 km from Vitina you will see the village of  Valtesiniko where all the houses are built according to the gortinian architecture yielding a magnificent result. Here you will also see the Church of Taxiarhes and you could visit the workshop “Chouliara tou Kolokotroni” where Mr.Lambis Panagiotopoulos will share with you secrets of the art of wood sculpting.

The traditional listed settlement of Alonistena, worth visiting for its natural beauty, its interesting architecture and for invigorating promenades.

The historical settlement of Piana to see the churches of St. George and Panagia Polikameni. Treat yourself with delicious pastry and fresh bread from the traditional bakery of the village. If you are into walking, take the path along the river Elissona for about 20 minutes, where you will come across a number of deserted water mills as well as the Panas cave to see bizarre geological formations.

Between Alonistena and Piana take the diversion for about 6 km if you want to visit the historical village of Libovisi, where the house of Kolokotronis (legendary fighter of the Greek revolution of 1821) - now a museum - is located.

The village of Levidi at an altitude of 860 meters, will offer you unique views of the slopes of mountain Menalo. Interesting points of the village for visitors and tourists are the fountain of the main square and the Byzantine church of Timios Prodromos. For a panoramic view of the village, go up to the church of Taxiarhes which has two built clocks beside it. Don’t leave the village of Levidi before tasting the local meat delicacies at any of a number of tavernas at the main square!

The villages of Stemnitsa and Dimitsana which constitute the two most beautiful settlements of the surrounding are of Vitina. Many tourists visit them every year to admire their amazing architecture as well as the pleasurable selection of little cafes and traditional restaurants.
